What We Believe
Bible
We believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant, intact, and infallible Word of God. The Bible is our all-sufficient rule of faith and practice.
The Trinity
We believe in the personal triune God; Father, Son and Holy Spirit. And they are equal persons of the eternal Godhead in divine perfection.
Creation
We believe in the Genesis account of creation and that God spoke everything into existence in six 24-hour days and rested on the seventh day.
Satan
We believe that Satan is a fallen angel and the archenemy of God and mankind. He is the unholy god of this world and his destiny is the eternal lake of fire.
Virgin Birth
We believe in the virgin birth as recorded in Matthew 1:18-20 and as prophesied by the prophet in Isaiah 7:14.
Jesus' Deity
We believe in the sinless humanity and complete deity of Jesus Christ.
Spiritual Gifts
We believe that miraculous spiritual gifts were done away with when the Bible was completed. The vital abiding spiritual gifts are faith, hope and love.
Man
We believe that man was created in the image of God until he fell by voluntary transgression from his sinless state. The result being that all mankind are sinners and incapable of saving themselves.
Blood Sacrifice
We believe the suffering of Jesus Christ on the cross was substitutionary for the sins of all mankind and is efficacious only to those who repent and believe in Jesus Christ alone for salvation.
Resurrection
We believe in the bodily resurrection and ascension of Christ and the bodily resurrection of His saints.
Return of Christ
We believe in the premillennial, personal, bodily return of Christ as the crowning event of the Gentile age.
Salvation
We believe that the depraved sinner is saved wholly by God’s grace through faith in Jesus Christ, and the requisites to regeneration are repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. John 3:16-18; Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9
Eternal Security of the Believer
We believe that all who trust in Jesus Christ for salvation are eternally secure in Him and shall not perish. John 3:36; John 5:24; John 10:27-30; Romans 8:35-39
Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit convicts sinners, regenerates, seals, secures and indwells every believer.
The Church
We believe that Jesus established His church during His ministry on earth. Christ's churches are always a local, visible and autonomous assembly of baptized believers in covenant relationship to carry out the Great Commission of our Lord Jesus Christ, and that He promised the perpetuity of His churches.
Ordinances
We believe that there are two pictorial ordinances in the church: baptism and the Lord’s Supper. Scriptural baptism is the immersion of believers by the authority of a scriptural church. The Lord’s Supper is a memorial ordinance, restricted to the members of the local church.
Freedom of Religion
We practice and defend the right to worship God, as defined in the Bible, without interference from any government or civil principality.
Marriage
We practice and defend the definition of marriage in the Bible as the union between a man and a woman.
